What is VINsmart?

VINsmart is an easy, inexpensive way to get vehicle history and valuation data from a website or mobile app.

What makes VINsmart unique?

VINsmart is an industry-leading technology trusted by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), J.D. Power and Blackbook.

The app allows you to scan the VIN number, speak the VIN or enter the VIN and the desktop sites do not.

The Problem

Used vehicles are among the most sold today and users are out car shopping by visiting dealerships. They don't have a way to quickly check vehicle history and compare vehicle history reports on the move. Meet VINsmart, the app the allows you to check vehicle history and compare vehicles from the palm of your hand.

Goals:
- Allow users to easily enter their VIN on their car to get a vehicle report
- Make it easy to view the complex report on mobile
- Have an area to save their vehicles in list. Interested vehicles vs. not interested vehicles.
- Be able to compare cars while on the move!

The Results

The launch of the app was successful and within 6 months the app doubled VINsmart user base. The new features like scan the VIN, speak the VIN and enter license plate were new features not on desktop and they dramatically improved the user experience when getting a vehicle history report!
